Hi All,

Can any one let me know how many occurance of duplicates can be allowed thru ALternate Key ( in VSAM)?

For example say we have name as duplicate key, and we have a duplicate record as sundar. So now tell me how many no of duplicate records where i can store as sundar?

( key) name depno:
ex: sundar 001
sundar 002
sundar 003

like this, how many occurance can be possible under a name sundar?

Thanks and Regards
Sundar

vsr100481,

As long as the AIX is not defined as UNIQUE, there is no limit to the no: of Dups you can have on the AIX

Hope this helps...

Cheers
