GDG error

Hi,
My job has only one step, in that new GDG version is created. Disposition of the GDG is New,catlg,keep. When I execute the Job its giving the following error.
"RELATIVE GENERATION ALREADY CATALOGED"
What is that mean. Please help me!!

What does your DD statement for that step look like?

What is the message number? Have you looked up the message in the manual?

HI all,
Please refer the details below
XXXXX DD DSN=AAAA.DDDD.BBBBBBBB.CCCCCCC(+1),
DISP=(,CATLG,KEEP),
UNIT=SYSDA,
SPACE=(CYL,(5,5),RLSE),
DCB=(LRECL=250,RECFM=FB)
I looked into the manual it says "AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED WHILE OPENING OR CLOSING THE NAMED FILE". when I looked into the GDG in 3.4 there were 2 active generations. I deleted the latest one and ran the job it went thru fine.
