Hi all,

I am sorry i meant os vs cobol .By differences i meant the difference in the features offered. For instance one is 24 bit addressing the other uses 31 bit addressing ( i may be wrong but i am just trying to explain my point ).Say particular stmt does not work in os vs cobol but it works in vs cobol II.

Kindly bear with me and explain in detail.

with regards,

arv.

Arv,

The following OS/VS COBOL language elements are no longer supported by VS
COBOL II.

1. Report Writer
2. ISAM file handling
3. BDAM file handling
4. Communication Feature
5. Segmentation.

In VS COBOL II, support for most of the Full ANSI COBOL 68 language elements has been removed, although a few are incorporated as extensions. There are also miscellaneous OS/VS COBOL language items that are not implemented in VS COBOL II.

Check this link for Miscellaneous Unsupported OS/VS COBOL Language Elements in VS COBOL II
