Hi All,

I need to write a step in a JCL which will check if the VSAM file is available for editing. If yes then I need to copy all the data from VSAM file to a flat file. If its not available for editing then I need to set the return code to 8.

Could any one let me know how to do this?

- Martin

Martin,

If the file is in use REPRO automatically sets the Return code to 8.
