Hallo Friends,
We have an CMS system with around 10,000 files. I have to download them either to TSO or to my hard disk on my laptop.
I have to download the files with filetype of JCL, so something
like this { * JCL * }
I checked the SENDFILE option, it can send it to other CMS ID's but not to TSO.
Please let me how to do it both the ways, so that I could pick which is most efficient.
Thanks,

You can use FTP to or from either type of system. You need to be able to get at least read access to your minidisk if you connect to the VM system, so you may need to log off before connecting. ISPF option 3.6 can send files to MVS in a format that MVS can understand, but you may need to define the set of files as an ISPF library which is probably an unfamiliar thing to do. FTP is probably the best option. |

Hallo Semigeezer,
Thanks for the response, I agree with you that the FTP is the suitable option, but since I need 3000 files out of 10K files and its really cumbersome to ftp it one by one. Since I know the CMS filetype, can I download the files more easily. If so please let me know how to do that??
Thanks,
