hi all,

In a real time environment say an airlines reservation system project for instance how are various reports being generated.Kindly explain in detail.

It will be great if you can explain your requirements in a little more detail. What kind of reports do you want. Do you want transactional kind of reports, daily summary reports or weekly/monthly MIS kinds of reports.
Technically, there can be a a variety of ways to generate such reports. If someone needs transaction reports(say every hour), then you CICS application program can write the data to a TDQ or file which can be read by a batch program to generate reports.
For daily,weekly or monthly reports batch jobs are generally run on EOD,EOW and EOM respectively to generate reports.

Please be more specific if you want a specific answer.
