There is no parameter for plan in DFSRRC00. Is this DL/I or BMP?

Hi,

To add to what somuprasanna has asked, how a IMS/DB-DB2-COBOL program works without a PLAN mentioned in the JCL? Confused In our system I see a program being executed with the following setup but don't see any plan name.
Code:

//JS090    EXEC PGM=DFSRRC00,
//             PARM=(BMP,
//             XXXXXX77,        PROGRAM NAME
//             XXXXXX43,        PSB NAME
//             ,                TRANSACTION IN NAME
//             ,                TRANSACTION OUT NAME
//             N00000,          CNTL PGM OPT,SPIE,TEST ADD,DIRCA
//             ,                PRELOAD OPTION
//             1,               TIMER
//             ,                PUT THE CHECKPOINT ID ON THIS LINE
//             ,                PARALLEL OPERATION
//             ,                CPU TIME
//             ,                FAST PATH DATABASES
//             ,                FAST PATH PAGE-FIXED BUFFERS
//             IMX2,            SYSTEM ID
//             XXXXX01,         APPLICATION GROUP NAME
//             D2XX)            DB2 REGION
//*

The program is BMP. Please explain. Neutral

Thanks in advance.

Kolusu, I had seen the link but could not figure out what RTT was !! I thought it might be a term related to CICS. Because as a programmer I often face this situation and so far the concept itself is not clear to me. I soon will have to prepare some JCLs in our shop for some CSR related work. So, just wanted to have a clear understanding before I proceed.

Please send me in some link where I can read more about it.

Thanks a lot.

mf_user,

RTT is an optional one to eight character alphanumeric name of the user-generated resource translation table (RTT). This table maps the IMS application names into DB2 plan names. If this entry is omitted, the DB2 plan name is the IMS application load module name.

The application plan defines the DB2 resources being accessed from an application. The application plan is identified by its plan name. Each IMS application is associated with a plan name. The default is to have the DB2 plan name the same as the IMS application program load module name. The recommendation is that you use the default. If you assigned a different name to the plan, you need a resource translation table (RTT).

Hope this helps...

Cheers
