What is the purpose of issuing J command in spool, and how it impacts online region and batch process.
Thanks in advance,

The reason you have received no replies is probably because your question is not clear. . .
By "spool" do you mean sdsf? Where within sdsf(?) do you issue the "J"? How did you learn of this? What impact to both online and/or batch are you concerned about? _________________ All the best,

In addition to papadi's reply, if SDSF or IOF, is J a primary or line command? Have you checked the HELP panels (usually F1)? _________________ ....Terry |

kavi,
J Command is used to Submit job from ISPF on a PDS.
SJ command is used re-submit/edit an existing job in Spool
