Hi,
Say you lost the password of the Word document that you had been preparing for your resume. Or, you forgot your Lotus Notes password. What do you do?
1. Cry
2. Punch the monitor
3. Shower your choicest expletives
4. Goto www.lostpassword.com
Options 1 to 3 are generally acceptable in most situations, though not necessarily in that order. Option 4 is an amazing piece of s/w. I have NOT tried this software. If it can ferret the password from any file, what guarantee is there that it is not looking for other passwords or other sensitive information.
Excercise your discretion while using that website. _________________ ALL opinions are welcome.

I haven't tried that software either, but I have used similar stuff to get the password for zip files. My favorite, which I have to use occasionally is the Offline NT Password & Registry Editor CD which lets you reset any password on an NT to XP system. I screwed up the login password to my XP box last month and with this I was in in about a minute. Also great when people leave the company and you have to get into their office PC (assuming there are no hard disk passwords, of course).
