I am getting 'Edit profile error' on right top of the edit panel while editing any dataset. If I press PF1, it says Changes to any edit profile will not be saved on disk this edit session.

My changes to the profile did not get saved.

Please help me in rectifying this problem.

-thanks,
KBN

kbn,

Go to 3.4

and Choose a sequential dataset and Put an "E" on the left hand side of the dataset and hit ENTER.

Now you will presented with EDIT profile panel. Space out the contents where it says INITIAL MACRO and press enter

You should be all set

Hope this helps...

Cheers

You should talk to your system programmers in your shop. The errors should not occur and something must be wrong with your setup.

Try
  1. Exit all edit and view sessions
  2. TSO ISRDDN
  3. Put an M next to ISPPROF
  4. Delete or rename member ISREDIT
  5. Exit and restart ISPF
