vijayakumar8303,
Yes you can test IMS DC programs just like CICS programs. Look for a sample set up among your co-workers
Hope this helps...
Cheers

hai none of my co-workers have the set up and we have not yet used it yet. If you can send the sample set up it will be really useful for our future testing. |

vijayakumar8303,
Every shop has their own standard setup. So my setup would be useless to you !
It is strange that no one has the setup.

Hai can you send me the screen shots of your set up so that we will look in to that and we will try to do the set up. i think it will be only some minor changes. Atleast we will have an idea and we will try. |

I am sure that screen shots may not help u.
First change the profile to DC .
In setup , give corresponding PDS or Loadlibs.
Here we use both ISPF(xped) and DC session (terminal ) to initiate it.
Kolusu if your using xped , is it the same procedure. _________________ Anil Sarathy |

Has the environment been configured using the XPCINST CLIST as documented in the Installation Guide? If no one at your shop has used the product before, then this is the first step.
If they have, then the default values should have been set and you should use the information given by Anil Sarathy. |

hi vijayakumar8303,
In the XPED (7.4) Primary Menu select 2 - TSO
you get the MPP screen where you can enter the SE command to display the SETUP MENU screen
now, select 0-ENVIRONMENT which will take you to the Environemnts menu, now select 8- MPP to test the programs in an IMS message region.
come back to the MPP screen and provide the Transaction code or program name or both and the press enter
which will show you the following lines and your session will hang until you Press enter in your screen. after pressing Enter you will be taken to the program for xpediting.
*** THE IMS INTERCEPTS ARE BEING SET ***
*** INTERCEPTS SET - STARTING THE IMS REGION ***
*** THE TEST TRANSACTION CAN BE ENTERED ***
Hope this helps. _________________ Tx
