Hi All,

I want to delete a record from VSAM file.Please send me jcl for deleting record from vsam file.

The question is simple but not complete. You can delete records using COBOL or utilities like SORT or FILEAID or combination of SORT & REPRO etc. either as online or batch.

Let us know what you are trying to accomplish.

1. Do you have a particular key to be deleted or a range of keys ?
2. Is this just for some test purposes ? do you want to delete a record only one time ?

I want to delete only one record based on particular key.please give me solution for VSAM both KSDS and ESDS.

Btw you CANNOT delete a RECORD from ESDS
