Hello,
I am trying to assign a value to a variable when I see ONCODE value of 8097 and return the control.
When I read SMF date into a fixed decimal field it gives me this error. Can someone tell me how to fix this.

Where are you reading the SMF date from? Can it be expected to have 'problematic' data? You might want to see what operations on the SMF date before you try to assign; so that zero on the statement which is populating invalid values into the SMF date field.
