Hi,
I am having a Flat file of record length 230. I need to select the records which has the characters of 'ABCQID' in 1 to 50 positions.
I am tried os using Simple Find command But i am failing in to search only in 1 to 50 characters... It is searching the full length....
Please let me know if there any option....

Yes.. I set the option as
BNDS 1 50
and search for the String as F '<SEARCH STRING>'.
It searches only in the position 1 to 50....
Thanks for your reply
