We have the option of creating Aliases for IMS programs. What is the significance of Alias and where will this be used. |

An ALIAS specifies one or more additional names for the primary entry point, and can also specify names of alternate entry points. For example, a label and one or more aliases may be used to refer to the same data element or point in a program.

Portia,
In case if you are interested on the ALIAS for the load modules. This is created using the IBM Link edit utility IEWL. this will create the alis for the Load module and upto 64 alias can be set for a load module.
