Hi...I am working as a mainframe developer form the past 3 years. well my skill set consists of jcl,cobol,vsam,db2(IBM certified db2 developer).cics,pl/i .
I do have a good domain knowledge about health care industry. well I want to change my job profile from developer to something else...I need an expert advice regarding the change of my job profile???What I am expecting is to keep mainframe as my core and add some ingredients like business knowledge or something else so that I can flourish in my career and put my self on demand |

You need to define that Something. Do you want to move up the ladder and become a manager? or do you want to be on the technical side ?
If you want to move to the management side, then consider PMI certification(I guess you need min of 5 years of experience).
If you want to be on the technical side , then learn as much as you can and keep yourself upto date with the latest technology.

| hemuit, your work experience sounds perfect for a move into a position in E-Commerce and/or EDI. Very heavily used in the Healthcare industry. |
