Hi,

I am facing a Strange situation.When i am trying to write to a VSAM file,i am getting File Staus 90.
Second time when i am trying to write the same data to VSAM file,its successful.
How could this happen,with the same data,one time its throwing VSAM Error90 and the other time its successful.
Any thoughts on this?

vaasavi,

We cannot really help you with just the file-status as it may be due to a number of reasons. Please post the system messages generated.

btw is there an alternate index involved?

Vaasavi,

May be you are trying to close a file witout opening it.

Check the logical flow of the program on when the file is being close without performing open statement.
