Can we Create sequential dataset and PDS of same name? Is it possible.
If yes then what is the procedure of achieving the same and if no why?

It's possible to create two datasets with the same name. The simplest way is for one or both of them not to be cataloged. This is a bad idea.

Mervyn,
If we do not catalog, then we need to specify the VOLSER. So, if both of them are not cataloged, can I still give the same VOLSER for both the datasets?
Sorry, but, I cannot test as I was/will be away from mainframe connection for couple of more days. _________________ ALL opinions are welcome.

Cogito, they'll have the same name, so they can't be on the same pack.
