Hi all,

I have a requirement as follows.

I have 87 sequential files generated as a output from various processes and it is not presentable to my onsite counterpart to view all the sequential files one by one.

Can anybody please help me out with a method to convert these sequential files into members of a PDS, so that it would be convenient to work with a single PDS instead of the individual PS.

I tried to search in the forum on the above requirement but could not find any.

Your advise on this is greatly appreciated.

Kousik,

IEBGENER utility can be used to convert sequential input to a PDS. The below link contains the example and the explaination of using this utility.

Can u post the JCL for converting sequential datasets into members of PDS

The above link to the manual will get you in the right area. Look at topic 6.9.2 for the JCL.

The utility requires that the records contain an field indicating the final record of each member.
