Mike Nitz,
Listcat will give you volser of the dataset in question.
or choose
Code: |
Data set list options
Initial View . . . 1 1. Volume Enter "/" to select option
2. Space / Confirm Data Set Delete
3. Attrib / Confirm Member Delete
4. Total / Include Additional Qualifiers
|
Hope this helps...
Cheers

Sorry about the confusion, the question I meant to ask is has anyone been able to retrieve the VOLSER from the DSLIST panel using REXX? I have a couple of execs that I run from the DSLIST panel and would LOVE to be able to capture that information. |

That would work, but I can get the same info from LISTDSI. But what if the DSName is uncataloged? Where could I get the VOLSER info then? |

Mike, if it's not cataloged, it's not going to be on the DSLIST. _________________ The day you stop learning the dinosaur becomes extinct |
