Could any one help me in understanding the following?

A cobol + db2 program is run in the following job, which uses two input files for comparison and if the key matches then updates Db2 table and If the key on file1 doesn

Step D finished cc=12 this is not an abend so the system will delete the datasets

Novice,

As nevilh mentioned , you need to code an step to check the cond codes and then abend based on the cond code

Code:

//STEP0100 EXEC PGM=MY PGM
...
//STEP0101 EXEC PGM=ABEND,       
//             COND=(0,EQ,STEP0100)
//SYSUDUMP  DD SYSOUT=*
