I have encountered EDF waits for several times:
A user task suspended with EDF-waits, but nobody debuging. That task cant purge out(even Force purge). So ... I must shutdown CICS. poor Sad

I guess someone have set a Transaction EDF on, then he logout. Isn't it?

How to solve this problem?

The Transaction CEDF should be protected (RACF) so that only selected users can use it.

yeah, it is a solution. BUT, we are in developing environment, the more protection the more inflexibility.

Take a look at how CEDF is defined - it may be non purgeable - you might want to define the transaction in your own group and make it purgeable.
