Hi,
In Windows if there is no user interaction with the system for more than certain minutes , the system will be locked.Similarly in Mainframe , can we do in such a way that if there is no interaction for certain minutes , the contol should automatically go to SDSF & should put &10 using rexx .This will prevent the disconnection .
Please help me Thanks _________________ KOKES |

Madhusudhanan,
By doing an Auto update (&10 at SDSF) you are wasting a lot of system resources. Most shops restrict the auto update commands. If you are using emulation software like rumba, extra...) then record a macro and schedule it run when the system is idle.

The TSO Timeout is set for a good reason. They can be hundreds of TSO users, and many of them use TSO only sporadic or sign on and leave it unused for hours. This is why most shops leave the timeout set so that user who are not active are terminated - saving system resources (CPU, Storage). |
