Hi,
We run a lot of Easytrieves accessing DB2 on our mainframe.
We have the below steps in our programs
1. DECLARE CURSOR CUR1
2. OPEN CUR1
3. FETCH CUR1
4. CLOSE CUR1
Are we using dynamic sqls or Static sqls.?
I have this doubt because we dont mention any Plan name when we submit our jobs, but I dont think its dynamic as we dont have the Prepare step.

Thanks

bullfighter,

Yes you are execueting Dynamic Sql in easytrieves. The module DQSPSCV will prepare your sql statements on the fly for you. Look for the loadmodule DQSPSCV in your Steplib dataset.

Hope this helps...

Cheers
