ALL,

I need to do FILE-AID Batch compare of two VB (max recln of 25475) sequential files and the records that found as differences from the files should be written into a dataset with its appropriate length.

Is it possible to compare two VSAM files and report only the changed fields / positions with its respective key of the file thru FILE-AID?

Please let me know how this can be achieved.

ganesh_b,

Did you try generating the batch JCL from COMPARE (option 10) from the file-aid main menu?

yes you can compare 2 vsam clusters using file-aid

Kolusu,

I have tried the 10 option in File-aid, but I am not getting the changed fields alone. I am getting the record which has changed, but not the fields.
