Hi,
One of my customers want to convert from cobol cics ims/db to cobol ims/dc/db. I don't know much about cics, I know most of it, but not so much about cics. It would help me a lot if people can point me to typical problems there are to solve and what the typical differences are, which choices there are to make.
Thank you very much in advance! |

Crox,
I am not sure about your intentions of posting such questions. Giving you the benefit of doubt, here is a link which explains the some of the differences between CICS & IMS ( 2 second google search)
http://www.yelavich.com/history/ev197103.htm
Hope this helps...
Cheers

Hi Kolusu,
thanks for the link. I am looking for rules/solutions/receipt about how to convert from COBOL/CICS/IMS-DB to COBOL/IMS-DC/IMS-DB. I used a copernic search already but I did not find what I was looking for, only a lot of CV's because of all the keywords.
I hope my intentions are clear. I want to learn something here about cics.
Regards,
