hi,

I was analysing a CICS IDMS coding. I found some letters like
C, D, T, B and E at column 7.

what does easy one mean and does it require any special declaration.
If so, whether all has to be declared and to what it should be declared.
If not so how the corresponding coding will be processed ( will execute or not execute)

Help me regarding this.

Gupta,

Column 7 in COBOL is Indicator area. Check this link which explains in detail about the indicator area
