|
|
Hi,
whenever I do a JPREP on my site. I get the following error for all the GDGs
Quote: | .JCPB JCP0540E PATTERN DSCB MUST BE SPECIFIED FOR GENERATION DATASETS --
(J)23(P)86(A)6 |
The same thing does not come for my colleague's JPREP and he says it is depending on the access levels of the ID. And the job runs fine without any error. Ofcourse the jobs run through CA7 user id and not mine.
What could be the reason for this ?
Thanks,

Ysmvs,
The error you are getting has got nothing to do with the access levels of the user-id. It is because of the profile you are using to run the JPREP. Your shop might have several profiles defined. You are using a profile which flags that error. You can change your JPREP profile.
Do you execute a clist(usually a typing a jscan/jem etc at the command prompt) or are you using the panels of JSCAN?
If you are using panels of JSCAN then there is an option to change the profile. Change your profile to your co-worker's profile and you will not get that error.
Hope this helps...
Cheers

Thanks Kolusu for your reply. We are using the CLIST to run the JPREP. I will check with the corresponding group on the profiles. But the doubt which I have is, this comes as an error and not as a warning. how this gets suppressed or not arising when the same job is triggered by CA7.
thanks,

The problem was with the Rules dataset being referred was incorrect and after correcting it, it works fine. Thanks Kolusu, for your replies.
Thanks,
