|
|
Hello All,
Need some help in determining the best value for the DFSORT default parameters.
1) Enable ICEGENER or IEBGENER:
Advantages of ICEGENER over IEBGENER in terms of allocation memory and using system resources
2) VERIFY:
Need detail information about VERIFY parameter. Any link would be helpful.
3) SDBMSG:
Is SDBMSG parameter still supported in DFSORT? If yes, then a informational link would help.
tc,

1) ICEGENER uses DFSORT copy rather than IEBGENER whenever possible. In general, DFSORT copy is more efficient than IEBGENER, since DFSORT can use EXCP and optimized buffering. We recommend the use of ICEGENER.
2) The link that Kolusu gave describes the VERIFY operator of DFSORT's ICETOOL. It's not clear if you're asking about that, or DFSORT's VERIFY parameter (ICEMAC VERIFY=YES/NO). VERIFY=YES can degrade performance and is NOT recommended.
3) DFSORT supports the SDBMSG=YES/NO parameter. Here's a better link for information on SDBMSG. Use it and then do a find on "SDBMSG".
