DFSORT/ICETOOL can only deal with one member at a time and you have to specify the dsn(member). DFSORT/ICETOOL is NOT the best tool for the kind of thing you're trying to do with all of the members of a PDS. _________________ Frank Yaeger - DFSORT Development Team (IBM)

I think there are REXX examples of getting a member list and reading all members. Try searching the TSO forum for REXX and MEMBER. |

Hi
I want to search one member at a time only. One member with all the strings... With ICETOOL i'm getting the results as only that strings, its not displaying that members in which the string is there. But I want the member name also...
Thnx

sricons,
Did you try using the SRCHFOR options of ISPF? OPTION 3.14 or 3.15 will give you the desired results.
Btw File-aid will also give you the member name along with the search string.
Hope this helps...
Cheers

sricons123,
Any number of SRCHFOR statements can be included in the Statement data set along with other applicable Search-For process statements.
Hope this helps...
Cheers
