Could u plz tell me abt the following statements...

1) CALL SYMPUT('BEGDT',""||PUT(DATE,YYMMDD10.)||"");

-- NOTE THE 2 DOUBLE QUOTES AND || SYMBOLS.




2) CALL SYMPUT('ENDDT',PUT(DATE,YYMMDD10.)); - WHAT DIFFERENCE BW THIS AND (1).


3) ADC=PUT(QWE,$WEEK);
