Our existing system is in IBM Mainframe,OS/390 V2R5.The applications which we use are in CICS 4.1 ,CSP and COBOL batch.We are migrating to a low cost platform system.We are exploring the possiblity to migrate the system to AIX with DB2.
For that I wanted to know a few technical information which are as follows:
1) Is CICS 4.1,CSP and COBOL and DB2 compatible with AIX. Is it built in same server or separate application server is required ?
2) Can we migrate the existing code as it is with some tool or would it require redevelopment with modification.
3) The tools or s/w package, if they exist, to migrate the code from OS/390 to AIX.
4) Does AIX have web enabled features?
5) And lastly the information about the licensing policy is required?
