just looking for help where I can get details on BDAM and ODAM files.
Mainly looking for guidance on how to do BDAM indexing files.

This message is a bit late, but if you are still interested...
Have a look at IBM manual, "DFSMS Using Data Sets".
You need to have a good reason for using BDAM, and make sure that you have a unique key which is unlikely to ever be duplicated in the future. The only BDAM file I have ever seen was one used in an Investment Bank for Unit Trust "Prices and Rates", and the file was Keyed by date. |
