If I submit 3 jobs with the same Job name and the same Class under JES2, they will run in the order I Submit them ...

If I do this under JES3, they do NOT run in the order I Submit them, as, apparently, the system analyses them to optimise their running order for TSO ... this is of no use to me at all, and is, IMHO, bloody stupid !!!

Any ideas how to work around this ?

Gaz

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you here, we've been without Internet access for a number of weeks after our CEO was caught accessing sites he shouldn't have been Shocked !!!

Yes, I tried this method, using the //*NET command, but couldn't get it to work, I was not only ending up with Jobs still running out of sequence, but some Jobs not running at all Rolling Eyes !!!

At the moment I have a do-nothing loop in the REXX exec that delays the Submits by about 3 seconds, and I think this is working OK, but it means the user has to wait around for nothing !!!

Any other ideas ?!?!?!
