Hi to all
I have a doubt, In CICS resources are sharable because they are online
and how come we share a data set in a batch by Disp=Shr, becasuse sharing is not possible in Batch and more over that is what the diff between Batch and Online

sejjobs,
The dataset can be used to read in shr mode, it cannot be used for updates. Moreover it depends on the type of datasets your are reffering to - QSAM or VSAM ?
There is a world of difference between Batch & Online, beyond the scope to discuss. Please refer to the manuals. Thanks
