We had one CICS region and 2 db2 subsystems.

We had a CICS DB2 application running successfully against a DB2 subsystem DBA1 till last year and recently they installed another db2 subsystem DBA2 as a result of this CICS implicitly discards the original one. Now the CICS attachment facility exists between CICS and DBA2, How can I change the CICS connection to point to DBA1?? When I used CEMT db2 connection it is showing it is connected to DBA2, I tried to overtype it with DBA1, but it says connection is in use. I think I need to use DSNC and stop DBA2 and use CEMT DB2 connection transaction and establish the connection to DBA2. Am I missing some thing here? Is this the right approach?

My intention is to discard the existing CICS attachment facility and establish the connection between CICS region and another DB2 subsystem DBA1.

ven,

Have u tried using CEDA DELETE to delete the existing DB2CONN and CEDA DEFINE to define a new DB2CONN to the other DB2 subsystem.

Regards,
Manas
