hi
i have restricted command cemt perform shutdown using racf,
rdefine vcicscmd cmdsamp uacc(none) notify(userid) addmem(shutdown)
can anyone tell me how to restrict (ceci perform shutdown) |

Gururaj,
I am not aware that you can use CECI command to perform shutdown. I was under the impression that CEMT & CEBT are the 2 cics supplied transactions that can perform shutdown.

This RACF rule you have created should apply to all uses of shutdown, via CEMT or CECI, or via EXEC CICS in any application. |
