We are replacing GVEXPORT (FAVER product) by ADRDSSU for VSAM file backups. However, when we did a DUMP of some of our VSAM files we get a higher CPU usage with ADRDSSU (around 40% higher than using GVEXPORT). The EXCP in GVEXPORT run was almost twice higher than when using ADRDSSU. I have explored the options with ADRDSSU and couldnt find a way to reduce the CPU usage. I have even tried the OPTIMIZE option. Any suggestions please??

I would say that is why FAVER is sold - it is very efficient and fast. What do your options look like in ADRDSSU and what type of processing are you doing - logical or physical dump?
