Sometimes when I have a volume shared between two LPARS and if I initialize the volume to some other name on one LPAR without taking it offline on the other I get a LSPACE error. Why does this happen and what is LSPACE error. Can anyone throw some light?? _________________ Rajib |

Regardless of what that error is that is not a very safe a good practice. If you are changing a volume you should take it offline from all systems first. That way you are also sure that that disk is not being used. Your method could cause a major problem (data loss, system crash, etc.). |
