Members,

How can we tell by looking into a program whether we are using STATIC CALL / DYNAMIC CALL ? I would need exactly the code to distinguish between the two and a sample Program would help me ? Do we need to pass any parameters in the run JCL to identify them and which one we would be prefering more and what would be the situations and when and where should we be deciding to go for a STATIC / DYNAMIC CALL ?

Did you forget the golden rule SEARCH before posting ? This topic has been discussed earlier. Check the following links.

This site provides manuals(Quick reference manuals) and if you looked up the COBOL manual for static you would have found this detailed explanation along with examples.

Hope this helps...
