hi
in jes2parm under jobdef i changed the parameter jobnum=2000
& in outdef paremeter joenum=3000 it requires cold start
can any one tell me what would be the effect if i do the cold start.

both can be changed dynamically with the $T command. See the reference guide Kolusu provided a link to. A cold start will wipe out everything on your spools. In other words all your output will be gone. If you decide to do a cold start and want to keep any spool output you will need to offload all your spool prior to the cold start.
