Hi Friends,
We have a vsam file having an
Average record size: 3000
Maximum record size: 10000
Objective: I have to reduce the length of the above record!!
Requirement: I need to delete few records and update few records in this big record
Description: I have to delete few records in them ie 01 level records which are repeating around 20 times at different offsets and also in the same time i need to update some other part of this big record ???
Well I know the offset from which length to which length I need to delete and update???. So can we write a jcl for this requirement???? If yes...plz let me know and if not programatically how i need to do this..
thanx in advance..
Regards,
lal

Lal,
Please frame your question properly. You seem to have a fascination for the "?" character. Please post a sample input data and desired output.
