hi chandra,

the easiest way is to use the models of ISPF. these models are incorporated in the ISPF editor and available by the model command.
all you have to do is edit a cobol program and issue "model" as a primary command. you will see a menu with all ISPF services available including a complete working storage section. but you still have to read the manuals to use these services correctly.
if the model command seems to work improper, try to issue first the command "model class cobol" before invoking the model command again.
you'll see that using ISPF services with cobol programs is rather awkward but a real performance boost.

hope this helps.
