				| Hi, I have a long running DB2 unload job (Using Platinum fast unload). I am aware of which partitions the data is residing in, Can I directly unload data from that partition ? and if so what is the syntax. Thanks
I am not able to get hold of a platinum manual, anyways following is my control card
 FASTUNLOAD
 LIMIT 0
 LOAD-CONTROL DB2LOAD
 OUTPUT-FORMAT DSNTIAUL
 INPUT-FORMAT TABLE
 DISPLAY-STATUS 1000000
 IO-BUFFERS 60
 VSAM-BUFFERS 360
 SQL-ACCESS NONE
 SHRLEVEL CHANGE
 SELECT ......,

				| Suresh kumar,
You will need PART on your unload card to unload only a specfic partition.

 Try this

  	  | Code: | | FASTUNLOAD
 LIMIT 0
 LOAD-CONTROL DB2LOAD
 OUTPUT-FORMAT DSNTIAUL
 INPUT-FORMAT TABLE
 DISPLAY-STATUS 1000000
 IO-BUFFERS 60
 VSAM-BUFFERS 360
 SQL-ACCESS NONE
 SHRLEVEL CHANGE
 SELECT * FROM OWNER.TABLE1
 PART 1
 WHERE ...
 AND ...

 |

Note the part statement after the select statement. Here I am selecting only partition 1

 Hope this helps...

 cheers

 kolusu
