Hi!
I have been a member of this Forum for quite some time. It has greatly helped me, and it has now become a part of my day to check this posts on the Forum. Its just GREAT!
However, I wanted a few suggestions. On the main page of the Forum, MVSFORUMS, we have links to a whole lot of mainframe related material. If anyone wants details on JCL's, we are taken to the entire list of books provided by IBM. Most of the contents are nearly the same(maybe Im wrong).
Cant someone put up a page, with just a book or 2 for each language, DB, etc. This would help people who are not only new to mainframes, but people who need to do reading to upgrade skills on the various things available. Seeing all the books does make a person think, get confused and go to other sources.
I would suggest creating a page which would have a link to one book for a beginner, intermediate and Expert for each Language, DB, ...
OR someone can just post a sticky on each Index Topic suggesting the best book to read for those topics. I guess this would help a lot, and I hope you understand what I mean. Thanks!!!
