IBM MIGRATION UTILITY for Easytrieve:
1. Has anyone tried to run the IBM migration utility to take Easytrieve code that contains a macro in the JOB area and gotten it to work?

2. I have been able to get the %CBLCNVRT statement to work to bring in regular COBOL copybooks, but once I get these DEFINE statements created I can't use the names in the code under the JOB statement.

3. Has anyone been able to get the JCL to work to convert a COBOL copybook to a Easytrieve file macro?

I found the IBM documentation for the IBM migration utility but it is lacking in examples of how things work. Any samples would be helpful for the above issues.

Since writing my original post, I do have #2 working. I can use the
%CBLCNVRT statement in working storage or in the file section and then use those converted COBOL copybook in the JOB portion of the Easytrieve running under IBM MU.

However we have been unable to get any macro in the file section or the JOB section to work. We have had to hard code them in our Easytrieve code.

Hi Kolusu, I was finally able to access the link you sent me, but this looks like a presentation, just to explain how IBM MU works. I'm way past that by now. My issue is mainly how to get user written macros to work without having to put the code directly into the easytrieve. I can live without it but it would be a nice to use feature. I do appreciate your help. Thank you.
