Hi,

When I quit ISPF, the screen will direct me to the TSO Ready command, where I have to manually type "LOGOFF" to fully quit the whole session.

How do I setup the ISPF to automatically & fully logoff the whole session without going through TSO?

Thanks in advance.

i have always used (on my emulator) the character control-screen up
between =X and logoff.

=x<cntl-screen up>logoff

the cntl-screen up displays as a semi-colon ; with a tilde ~ above the semi-colon.

but my previous organisation had some sort of a script which will enter the logoff command immediately after the TSO READY command.

I know it's definitely not an emulator macro.

Any ideas?

it is not an emulator macro,
it is a key stroke, mapped on my emulator to cntl-screenup.

the character generated by the key-stroke is a command terminator between ISPF and TSO.

so, ask your previous organization for 'the script', or learn to keep these with you as
you travel.

and why is the extra typing of loggof soooooooooooo important?

Oh come on Dick, that's an extra 7 keystrokes including having to hit enter afterwards Mr. Green

If you use the standard TSO LOGON panel, there is a location to enter a Command ==> ________. If you enter command LOGOFF, that will be issued when you exit ISPF (assuming you entered ISPF via a PARM in your TSO PROC.

its probably the logon proc that simply starts a clist that does CONTROL NOFLUSH, ISPF and LOGOFF.

You can modify the ISPF panel to do it too...

I'm not saying it's important, it's just that I'm used to having this automatic logoff that I thought it should be applied to my current profile. That's all.
