i created a GDG with 5 versions. Now i did a ALTER to increase the number of versions to 30. But still i am not able to see more than 5 versions. Can someone help.
Please see parameteres Limit: and Number of associated objects in the below display from Insync.

No, You created a GDG with 5 GENERATIONS. Versions are different.
If generations older than 5 have rolled out of the catalog, you must recatalog them now that the index is changed to 30. _________________ Regards,

Hi Bill, Do you mean that i should drop the GDG base and re-create it? Doesnt it work like, when i did ALTER to change the number of versions from 5 to 30 and i try to create a 6th generation, the 1st generation remains cataloged still?

1) Please read the previous post from Bill, and start to use the correct terminology.
2) Please try this for yourself, set up a dummy GDG base, add 5 generations then alter the base and create the next generation and see what happens. _________________ If it's true that we are here to help others,
