|
|
A co-worker had a question about the TSO messages that she receives when she logs onto TSO.... An 'important' looking message, most likely from Changeman, appeared on her screen, then scrolled off before she was able to view it..
Does anyone know of a way to either store these messages as they're received, so they can be retrieved at a later time ?
Thanks.. |

Yes, that would display the messages.... but it wouldn't store them anywhere... Is it possible to store them somewhere ? |

Thanks... I don't see any TSOID.BRODCAST files, but I do see SYS1.BRODCAST, and it does have Changeman messages in it...
The messages don't have dates on them, only time of day... so I'm not sure if they're current or not... But thanks for the tip .... |

Doesn't she get the 3 asterisks on her screen and it is held until she presses ENTER and then they go away? Use pc or emulator copy function, then press ENTER.
Having said that they need to change from using TSO messages to sending an email. |

Yes, she must have had a little too much coffee that morning and hit ENTER too soon... Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. |

At a former job, I created a CLIST to use TRAP on the LISTBC messages and save them in a dataset with DATE/TIME in the DSN that the user could then BROWSE.
The user needed to turn off MAIL at LOGON and issue the CLIST after LOGGING on. I put it in the ISPF LOGON allocation CLIST. _________________ Regards,
