Hi,

Is there any document that shows SORT examples using date functions DT1, DT2 and so on with explanation. I thought the application programming document does not discuss it in much detail !

Thanks.

Not sure what you're looking for as these are pretty simple formats.

Did you look here:

http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/BOOKS/ICE1CA40/C.1?DT=20090527161936

You can find a bit more information on DT1 and DT2 in my paper at:

ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/storage/dfsort/mvs/sortbynd.pdf

Look at:

Control Statements: Eliminating Programming - SMF, TOD and ETOD Date and Time Formats

If you have specific questions about the DT1 and DT2 formats, feel free to ask them here.
